Universidade Católica Portuguesa - Porto

We would like to invite you to join us for the 2021 Innovation Day, held annually by Escola Superior de Biotecnologia of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, which this year is part of the 30-year anniversary of the Centre of Biotechnology and Fine Chemistry (CBQF). The goal is to promote knowledge transfer between all the stakeholders, and to highlight cutting-edge research in different areas.

This year’s topic is “Big Data in Food Systems: Challenges and Perspectives”. From farm to fork, recent developments in data analytics are an opportunity to improve food quality, food safety and sustainability and drive profitability. Despite the recognized potential and successful examples of application in the food supply chain, the use of Big Data in food systems is still in its infancy.
