Seminar "METATISSUE: Human-based products for Cell Culture and Tissue Engineering"

Ana Rufino will present on March 22, 2024, at 6:30 pm, in the classroom EBI025, a lecture entitled "METATISSUE: Human-based products for Cell Culture and Tissue Engineering".

Ana Rufino graduated in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Coimbra in 2008. She completed a Ph.D. degree in Pharmacy: Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy in 2015. Between 2014 and 2018, she was responsible for several classes in the 1st cycle of Studies in Nursing of the Escola Superior de Saúde Norte da Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa and between February 2019 to January 2023 Ana Rufino was a researcher at LAQV-REQUIMTE (Rede de Química e Tecnologia) at the University of Porto. She published 20+ papers in international peer-reviewed journals, in the scientific areas of Drug discovery, Pharmacology, Cell Biology, Molecular biology, Biochemistry, and Medicinal chemistry.

Starting from February 2023, Ana Rufino has held the position of Senior Researcher at Metatissue. In this role, she assumes responsibility for Research and Development (R&D), which encompass the design and validation of protein-derived products. Additionally, she is tasked with testing cellular behavior to ensure the optimal performance of these products.
