CLIL cria Comunidades de Aprendizagem e Prática para docentes da UCP

É docente da Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) e gostaria de explorar práticas pedagógicas inovadoras e testar novas metodologias e estratégias de aprendizagem ativa para implementar em sala de aula? Poderá fazê-lo, ao integrar as Comunidades de Aprendizagem e Prática (CAP), organizadas pelo CLIL | Católica Learning Innovation Lab, o Laboratório de Inovação Pedagógica da UCP. A atividade irá decorrer entre 22 de março e 30 junho de 2023, em formato online, e as inscrições estão abertas até ao dia 17 de março. O evento de lançamento das Comunidades acontecerá no dia 22 de março, às 17h30, em formato online.

As Comunidades de Aprendizagem e Prática (CAP) pretendem proporcionar aos docentes da UCP a oportunidade de integrarem um grupo ou comunidade online, que irá explorar novas metodologias e estratégias pedagógicas nas seguintes áreas: Capacitação pedagógica transversal, Aprendizagem através do digital, Aprendizagem por Pares, Aprendizagem-Serviço e Aprendizagem Baseada em Problemas e Projetos.

Estas atividades irão decorrer ao longo de cerca de três meses, entre 22 de março e 30 de junho de 2023, e contarão com o apoio de uma equipa de dinamizadores.

Os docentes interessados em participar na iniciativa devem selecionar uma das cinco Comunidades propostas, de acordo com os seus interesses pedagógicos e necessidades percebidas de desenvolvimento profissional. Em conjunto, participantes e dinamizadores definirão a periodicidade, o formato, a agenda e a dinâmica de trabalho de cada Comunidade.

Possibilidade de troca de experiências e de criação de parcerias interdisciplinares

São muitas as vantagens de participar nas CAP: troca de experiências entre docentes, criação de parcerias interdisciplinares, aprofundamento de uma área pedagógica de interesse, e desenvolvimento de vários produtos pedagógicos. Entre estes produtos incluem-se, por exemplo, repensar o conteúdo da Ficha da Unidade Curricular (UC) de uma UC, conceber e testar atividades em sala de aula, e refletir sobre as práticas pedagógicas em curso.

“Ao integrarem uma comunidade, os docentes da Universidade Católica conhecerão outros pares que partilham os seus interesses pedagógicos, que enfrentam os mesmos desafios e que também procuram soluções. Adicionalmente, poderão, de forma prática, produzir materiais de grande utilidade para as suas aulas”, explica Diana Soares, coordenadora do CLIL e docente na Faculdade de Educação e Psicologia da UCP.

“Acreditamos que esta é uma oportunidade de forte crescimento profissional que contribuirá, em última instância, para a melhoria do processo de ensino-aprendizagem na UCP”, acrescenta Isabel Vasconcelos, Vice-Reitora da UCP.

Para potenciar uma maior troca de experiências entre os vários participantes, cada CAP estará limitada a 10 docentes. Os professores interessados em participar na iniciativa, deverão preencher este formulário, até ao dia 17 de março. A seleção dos participantes será realizada por ordem de inscrição.

Evento de lançamento acontece no dia 22 de março

As Comunidades de Aprendizagem e Prática iniciam no dia 22 de março, pelas 17h30, com um evento online, que durará cerca de duas horas. A primeira parte do evento é aberta a toda a comunidade académica e contará com a presença de Isabel Vasconcelos, Vice-Reitora da UCP, e com a intervenção de Karen Matthewman (University College, London) que falará sobre o conceito, as vantagens e os desafios inerentes às Comunidades de Aprendizagem e Prática. A segunda parte é reservada aos docentes inscritos nas CAP.

As CAP surgem na sequência do 1º Ciclo de Workshops Pedagógicos UCP, que se realizou entre 23 de janeiro e 3 de fevereiro de 2023, e que recebeu mais de mil inscrições.

Esta atividade conta com a participação da equipa do Learning Innovation Office da CATÓLICA-LISBON, bem como de outros convidados, e com o apoio da Reitoria da UCP.

Sobre o CLIL

O CLIL foi criado com o objetivo de identificar, experimentar e ensaiar abordagens pedagógicas inovadoras, contando com a colaboração de docentes, investigadores e estudantes da UCP, assim como com o apoio de um conselho de parceiros estratégicos do tecido empresarial e da sociedade civil.

O laboratório recebeu financiamento no âmbito do projeto “Skills 4 PósCOVID - Competências para o futuro no Ensino Superior”, financiado pelo Portugal 2020, no âmbito do PO CH – Programa Operacional Capital Humano, através do FSE – Fundo Social Europeu.

Are you a scholar at Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) who is interested in exploring innovative pedagogical practices and testing new active learning methodologies and strategies to implement in the classroom? You can do so by joining the Communities of Learning and Practice, organized by CLIL | Católica Learning Innovation Lab, the Pedagogical Innovation Lab of UCP. This activity will take place online, between March 22 and June 30, 2023, and the registration period will be open until March 17. The Communities online kick-off event will happen on March 22, starting at 5:30 pm.

The Communities of Learning and Practice are designed for faculty at UCP who wish to join an online group or community that will explore new pedagogical methodologies and strategies in one of the following areas: Transversal pedagogical empowerment, Learning with digital technologies, Peer learning, Service-Learning, and Problem-based and Project-based Learning.

These activities will take place throughout three months, between March and June 2023, and will be accompanied by a facilitation team.

Faculty who are interested in participating in this initiative should select one of the five Communities proposed, according to their pedagogical interests and perceived needs of professional development. Together, participants and facilitators will define the periodicity, format, agenda, and work dynamic of each Community.

Possibility of exchanging experiences and establishing interdisciplinary partnerships

There are many advantages in participating in the Communities of Learning and Practice: the exchange of experiences among faculty, the establishment of interdisciplinary partnerships, the deepening of a pedagogical area of interest, and the development of different pedagogical outputs. These outputs include, for instance, to rethink the content of the Curricular Unit Sheet of a Curricular Unit, the design and testing of activities in the classroom, and the reflection about one’s pedagogical practices.

“By joining a community, faculty at Universidade Católica can get to know peers who share their pedagogical interests, who face the same challenges and who are also looking for solutions. Besides, they can, in a very practical way, produce very useful materials for their classes”, as explained by Diana Soares, the coordinator of CLIL and professor at UCP Faculty of Education and Psychology.

“We believe that this is an opportunity of strong professional growth that shall ultimately contribute to improving the processes of teaching and learning at UCP”, as added by Isabel Vasconcelos, Vice-President of UCP.

In order to maximize the quality of the interactions between different participants, each Community of Learning and Practice will be limited to 10 faculty. Faculty who are interested in participating in this initiative must respond to this form until March 17. The selection of participants will be done in order of registration.

The kick-off event happens on March 22

The Communities of Learning and Practice start on March 22, at 5:30 pm, with a 2-hour online event. The first part of the event is open to the entire academic community and will count with the presence of Professor Isabel Vasconcelos, Vice-President of UCP, and a presentation by Karen Matthewman (University College, London) about the concept, advantages, and challenges inherent to this kind of learning community of practice. The second part of the event will be reserved to faculty who will participate in the Communities of Learning and Practice.

The Communities of Learning and Practice derive from the 1st Cycle of Pedagogical Workshops at UCP, between January 23 and February 3, 2023, which received more than one thousand registrations.

This activity counts with the participation of the Learning Innovation Office team from CATÓLICA-LISBON, and other very special guests, and with the support of the Rectory of UCP.
